*Infant Care
Our program follows a relationship-driven approach to care and early learning and we value family participation.
We provide a safe, clean, and happy home environment for our families. Our classroom is a community filled with L♥ve, Laughter, and Learning. We offer healthy meals, natural home care products, and enrichment activities that include sensory exploration. We are helping to build healthy bodies, hearts ♥ and minds from the inside out! We are guided by the RIE Philosophy to support infant care and learning. As a teacher, I support children's social-emotional development, language development, physical motor development, cognitive development, and sensory development.
During our time together, we practice verbalizing throughout the day, utilize tummy time to engage motor skills, and assist with support sitting to free little hands for exploration. We value the child's area's of interests and allow them to explore following their daily rhythm. Our program adheres to the SAFE SLEEP guidance as recommended by the Academy of Pediatrics. Daily Up Date Sheets are provided so you can see how your baby did during their day spent with us. The first two years of a child's life help shape their future, and consistent l♥ving care is a top priority! After all, "A good beginning, Lasts a lifetime".
*Preschool
In our Preschool Program, we balance both play and learning in our day.
The children enjoy hands-on projects, seasonal sensory exploration, and yoga as one of our music and movement activities. We follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum, that is resource rich in a play-based environment. Engagement and participation are fostered through the Kindness Curriculum for our entire program. Our day is child-led yet teacher supported. A daily schedule that is softly structured is provided that supports the natural rhythm of the children, to ensure their daily needs are met. Beginning Spanish and weekly themed activities keep the children interested and engaged.
We foster learning experiences with an age appropriate pedagogy for Inquiry learning.
Inquiry learning supports the development of children's critical thinking skills and allows for creative problem solving skills to develop. Our program follows the Oregon Early Learning and Kindergarten Guidelines, for Kindergarten readiness: https://www.oregon.gov/ode/students-and-family/Transitioning-to-Kindergarten/Documents/ODE_EarlyLearningStandards_final.pdf
Children participate in both large and small group activities that encourages hands on investigations, while supporting their autonomy development. The children are guided to make their own decisions and use self management skills in positive ways. Social interactions with peers and teachers provide daily support of their social skill developments. We integrate language, literacy, math, science, physical motor development, and social-emotional development into the daily schedule to meet the children's learning and developmental needs.
